Former Real Madrid and Man Utd player, Varane has retired from playing
Former Manchester United and France defender Raphaël Varane has announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 31. After joining Como on a free transfer in July, he suffered an injury during his debut match against Sampdoria in August.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Varane expressed the importance of listening to his body and heart. He stated, "It takes a lot of courage for a person to take such a step. I want to retire with my dignity and not continue to force my body to play football." Varane also mentioned that he will remain with the team in a different capacity, contributing his experience and leadership.
