A defiant Netanyahu addresses UN General Assembly

 Netanyahu Speaks at the UN

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the United Nations General Assembly, saying that Hamas must be removed from any future leadership in Gaza. He compared the situation to World War II, saying it would be unthinkable to let the defeated Nazis help rebuild Germany.

Netanyahu also addressed the rising tensions with Hezbollah in Lebanon. He declared, “Enough is enough!” and insisted that Israel will not stop until its citizens can safely return home. Recently, Israeli forces attacked Hezbollah's headquarters in Beirut, damaging several buildings.

Arab leaders at the UN condemned the violence, warning that it could lead to a wider war. Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said that Netanyahu's government needs to be stopped to prevent further conflict.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for a cease-fire to calm the situation in Lebanon and urged for quick action to avoid a regional war.

Despite his tough stance, Netanyahu said Israel is open to peace but only if it can ensure its security. He stressed that any agreement must protect Israeli citizens from terrorism. He called on other countries to join the fight against groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, emphasizing the need for international support.

The situation remains tense, and while there is a desire for peace, the path forward is complicated by ongoing violence and disagreements.
